Yes. The guaranty association covers only Connecticut resident policyholders and certificate holders. Residency is determined on the date that a member insurer is declared insolvent. Guaranty association coverage is, however, currently provided to residents of all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia through other guaranty associations. Note that guaranty association coverage varies by state.
